A grab bag is a waterproof survival bag, used to complete the safety equipment for offshore liferafts. It contains among water and food, additional survival equipment. Different models all comply with ISO 9650-1 standard for navigation more than 60 miles from shore and over 24hour of rescue.
Approval and quality control of the HERO grab bag is issued by the RINA classification society.

Hero’s France liferafts with an additional Grab Bag are required for French flag vessel (less than 24 meters) in all navigations more 60 miles from a shelter.
It’s approved by the French authorities and respond specifically to Marine Marchande Française regulation Division 240, Division 333 and international ISO9650-1/3 standard.
Also, for the UK flagged vessels for navigation from 20-150 miles from the coast, Swiss flagged vessels and other countries except for Italian, Spanish and Greek flagged vessels.
