Oceanic Led De-Ice Single and Double Deck Navigation Lights for Polar Areas
Product Description
Unlike the !lament bulb navigation lights, the Led navigation lights do not emit IR radiation meaning this that they are, thermally speaking, cold lights. When a vessel with led navigation lights is sailing in circumpolar seas, snow or ice can be deposited on the light impairing its good performance. To prevent this undesired effect, this lights have to be heated for de-icing the window
surfaces as it is recommended by the DNV in its document “Class notation de-ice”. This is achieved in our Oceanic-Led lights by means of one radiant wire situated in the lower part inside the lantern and isolated thermally by means of technically superior ceramic isolators, emitting more than 200 wats of heat and controlled by a bi-metal thermostat.
Application
For all sea going vessels with a length of 20 meters or more sailing in polar waters.
